Version 2026.09
Who can see the answers on the registration form
Section titled “Who can see the answers on the registration form”A registration form often collects quite different things at once: class and level, which the other participants benefit from seeing about each other — and allergies, contact phone number and address, which are nobody else’s business.
Until now, all of this was treated the same. Now you choose per field. When you edit the event, under Registration form, each field has a new option called Who can see the answers:
| Setting | Who sees the answers |
|---|---|
| Organiser only | Only the organiser’s own people — supporter, admin and owner |
| Participants | Everyone who has a confirmed place at the event |
| Everyone | Anyone at all, even without being signed in |
Whoever has signed up always sees their own answers, whatever the field is set to.
You have to open up again yourself
Section titled “You have to open up again yourself”All fields that existed before this version are now set to Organiser only. That means answers that used to be visible in the participant list no longer are.
This is deliberate. The old checkbox was called “Visible to everyone”, but in practice it only controlled whether the field got a column in the organiser’s own list — it said nothing about what the club actually intended to publish. We did not want to guess on your behalf.
The columns follow the setting
Section titled “The columns follow the setting”The Show as a separate column in the list checkbox is gone. It was a separate switch that decided columns independently of who got to see the answers, and that gave the wrong result both ways: a field set to Organiser only could show everyone an empty column with the question as its header, while a field set to Participants could be invisible to the very people who had signed up.
Now the two are tied together: you get a column exactly when you are allowed to see what is in it.
At the same time, yes/no fields now answer Yes and No in the list — and
in the CSV export — instead of true and false. A field that has not been
answered is left blank, not “No”.
Rule sets for gift cards and events now work
Section titled “Rule sets for gift cards and events now work”A rule set can be set to apply to Rental, Events, Gift cards or Season passes under Rule for. Two of the four did not work: gift cards and events never asked for acceptance, regardless of what the rule set said.
Both work now. That means a facility that has added a rule set for gift cards or events will start asking for acceptance at checkout where it did not before. That is the correct behaviour, not a new bug — but it is worth knowing about, so you are not caught by surprise.
At the same time, a misleading description has been corrected: if you leave Applies only to the units empty, the rule set applies to none of the units — not all of them, as the help text could previously be read to mean. See the rules guide.
New codes on gift cards
Section titled “New codes on gift cards”Gift cards now get codes in the form xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx — four groups instead of
three. The code is the key to the balance, and the new form is considerably
harder to guess.
Gift cards bought earlier keep their code and work as normal. The two forms live side by side, so you do not need to do anything.
At the same time, redeemed gift cards are counted correctly in the usage statistics. It has read zero for every facility, and will now start to move.
Older browsers
Section titled “Older browsers”Velpr now requires a browser from spring 2022 or newer — Safari 15.4, Chrome 111 or Firefox 113. On browsers older than this, the app will not load properly.
In practice this affects very few: an iPhone or iPad that has not had updates in several years, or an old browser on a club PC. If someone sees a blank page, updating the browser — or the phone — is the first thing to try.
Among other devices, Velpr has been tested on an iPhone 8 from 2017, and apart from a few visual details everything works as it should.
Fixes and small things
Section titled “Fixes and small things”- Old confirmations no longer reappear: if you closed the tab instead of closing the confirmation dialog, the cart could be left behind and show the confirmation — with the door code from the old booking — on a completely unrelated visit months later. Such carts are now cleaned up.
- The confirmation text does not repeat codes: orders spanning several slots show each door code once per unit, and still mention that the rest will come by email.
- Calendar key (iCal): the key is now created by Velpr when you press create key under Admin → Facility, rather than in the browser. Keys you have already shared keep working until you create a new one yourselves.
- Credit note with the correct VAT: a partial credit note always stated 25 % VAT. It now uses the rate from the original invoice, as it should for facilities that are not on 25 %.
- Forgot password: there is now a limit on how many times per hour the same email address can request a new password. Normal use notices nothing.
