Markdown
Markdown is a way of writing text with simple formatting — headings, bullet points, links and images — without knowing HTML.
Where Markdown is used
Section titled “Where Markdown is used”Some text fields in Velpr are written in Markdown:
- Terms and Rules
- Information and messages on events
- Confirmation text under Site
- Instructions (external) on access points
About us, Her er vi (Find us) and blog posts are instead written with buttons for bold text, headings, links and images. See Pages, blog and images.
Paragraphs
Section titled “Paragraphs”Leave a blank line between paragraphs. A single line break does not make a new paragraph — the lines are joined together.
First paragraph.
Second paragraph.Headings
Section titled “Headings”Headings are written by putting # in front of the text. The number of #
decides which level the heading is on.
# Heading 1## Heading 2### Heading 3Heading 1 often comes across as a bit much, so heading 2 and 3 are the most used.
Bold and italic text
Section titled “Bold and italic text”**bold text** and *italic text*Bullet points are written with * or - in front of the text, numbered lists
