Version 2026.07.1
The facility’s own branded emails for sign-in
Section titled “The facility’s own branded emails for sign-in”Verification and reset emails related to sign-in now use the facility’s logo theme and are in Norwegian, just like the other emails from Velpr. Previously these arrived as standard English emails from Firebase, with no connection to the facility.
The links in the emails land on a dedicated Velpr page that completes the action — whether that is verifying the address or setting a new password.
Verified email addresses
Section titled “Verified email addresses”Members are now encouraged to verify their email address. The first step is a friendly reminder (a banner at the top of the app) with the option to resend the verification email — nobody is locked out.
The scheme is being rolled out gradually and can be tightened later without a new release, so that verification can eventually be required for certain actions (for example booking). Members who sign in with Google are already verified automatically and are not affected.
Changing your login email yourself
Section titled “Changing your login email yourself”Under My account, members can now change their login email on their own. A verification link is sent to the new address, and the address only changes once the link has been opened — so nobody can move the sign-in to an address they do not have access to.
For security reasons, Firebase also sends a short notice to the old address saying that the login email has been changed.
Clearer distinction between login email and receipts email
Section titled “Clearer distinction between login email and receipts email”My account now shows the login email and the receipts email separately, both with verification status. That makes it easier to see which address is used for what:
- Login email — the address you sign in with
- Receipts email — the address receipts and messages are sent to, which does not have to be the same
The receipts email can be verified with a simple send-out (a no-obligation reminder that just confirms the inbox exists). If it matches an already verified login email, it is automatically shown as verified — without you having to verify it again.
